I talk a lot about energy tending, and how we exist in a web of energy which we can get better and better at tending and nourishing it so it nourishes us. This week I’ve reflected on three beautiful ways my human support network has been an amazing support for my life.
- I do a limited number of hands-on sessions a month. I love them, but they aren’t enough volume to make it worthwhile to rent out my own space (and though I always LOVE hands-on work–do come book one if you’ve been curious or wanting the support of a life-changing healing session–most of my focus is on creating my online programs). So I sub-let space from a massage therapy studio and we’re all happy. I get a gorgeous space to work out of and do not have to see clients from home (because that’s not my preference + because having the kids and their stuff around would make it feel stressful for me), and the owner gets a little bit of money during hours he wouldn’t be using the space anyway.
- I craved a quite space to write sometimes on evenings and weekends, and my house is small enough (and has loud enough boys) that my laptop at home in the evenings is loud. The library was not my favorite either (hello homeless people feeding your dogs under the kiosks and trying to act like no one will notice). So I found a local co-working space and can work here in the quiet at night and get some extra ease around my creating time. (In fact, I’m writing to you from that space now!)
- I wished I had more people like me I could connect to–heart-centered online entrepreneurs whose primary business focus is their online programs–but there weren’t a lot of people like that in my local area. So I went to Denise Duffield Thomas’s LA VIP day and met a whole bunch of like-minded women.
The source of all these great resources and abundance in my life is my reaching out to connections. My friend Cathy hooked me up with the opportunity at the massage therapy studio when I let my network know I was looking for a space. I knew Tania, the owner of the co-working space, from back when I was a copywriter. So when she launched this space it easily came on my radar. I’d been following Denise for years–in fact, I’d even written her team to ask if she’d ever come to LA to do an event. So when she let her list know she’d be coming to Los Angeles, I felt like I’d manifested this and had to go.
My take away from this is that, if there’s something you want, ASK. Maybe you won’t always get a yes, and maybe it won’t always go quite the way you envisioned it, but if you never ask, you’ll never know what could have happened!
I’m grateful for my network. And I’m grateful you’re a part of it. Thank you for being here! I’d just like to say, you know what, if you have a project you’d like to create or a resource you’d love to find to make your life easier, try it and see what happens! You don’t know what’s out there until you start looking, and with a little outreach and creativity you may end up getting exactly the support you need to achieve your goals.
Study with me:
We’ve just started this round of the Energy Tending Journey, and my students LOVED class one, in which we tended energy boundaries for business around time, money, and energy, and super-powered an intention for the next months by attuning it to the creative heart of the universe. We used crayons and coloring and shifted energy in a BIG way, and had a ton of fun.
It’s not too late to sign up, you can join us here for the complete series, and you’ll receive a link to the recording of today’s class. You’ll also be supported with this series with manifestation tools, support for healing Ancestral Money Wounds and Sabotage Patterns, as well as a series of four group sessions at the end of our series where we’ll tend the energy of your relationships.
